About the Category Analyst, ISIT Role in Procurement

As a Category Analyst, ISIT at Telenor Procurement Company (TPC), you will be an integral member of the global procurement function, with a focus on the Information Systems and Information Technology (ISIT) category. In this highly collaborative and insights-driven role, you will support category managers in formulating sourcing strategies and maximising value for Telenor Group. Your ability to prepare robust spend analyses, monitor market and supplier trends, and generate actionable insights will contribute substantially to our strategic procurement goals.

Main Responsibilities and Key Tasks in ISIT Category Analytics

• Support global ISIT category management through comprehensive data analysis, supplier benchmarking, and market intelligence.
• Prepare and maintain structured category spend reports, dashboards, and business case analyses for sourcing initiatives.
• Track and interpret ISIT procurement trends, identify cost optimisation opportunities, and support implementation of best practices within the procurement function.
• Assist category managers in preparing sourcing activities, such as Request for Information (RFI), Request for Proposal (RFP), and contract negotiations with vendors.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date category information in procurement systems and tools, ensuring quality and integrity of data.
• Partner with colleagues across regions to gather requirements, analyse needs, and ensure alignment with strategic business objectives.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives with insights to drive efficiency, sustainability, and risk mitigation in sourcing decisions.
• Develop and present insightful reports and dashboards to stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.

Profile & Skills: What We Look for in an ISIT Category Analyst

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in procurement, data analysis, category management, or a related field, preferably within ISIT.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with high proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
• Familiarity with procurement processes and an understanding of the ISIT supplier landscape is a strong advantage.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders across global Telenor teams.
• Detail-oriented, highly organised, and capable of prioritising multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
• Demonstrates integrity, discretion, and professionalism when handling confidential information.
• Team-oriented, adaptable, and eager to contribute to an inclusive, high-performance culture.
• Experience working in a multinational or matrixed environment is preferred.
